About the Podcast

Her Kind of Brave
Messy. Real. Braver than she thinks.
You know the feeling. Someone asks how you're doing, and there's a split second where you have to decide: do I say "fine," or do I actually tell them everything?

This show is the space for the second answer.

Women carry an enormous amount, and most of the time we do it without complaining, without even talking about it, without anyone actually on our team. There used to be a village for that. A campfire to sit around, tell the real story, and have someone say "me too." Most of us don't have that anymore, so we end up scrolling at three in the morning instead, searching for someone who's felt what we're feeling, and coming up empty.

Around this fire, you'll hear what it's actually like to get a cancer diagnosis with a newborn still on your hip. You'll hear what it's like to go on a reality TV dating show and come home to find millions of strangers screaming at you as the villain. You'll hear the grief of loving and losing a child you don't get to keep, the kind that doesn't resolve, it just becomes part of how you carry everything else.

And you'll hear the addiction that started as just taking the edge off, until it meant not being able to pick your own child up from school.

And so many more moments that never made it past "I'm fine."

This is the village, rebuilt. Hosted by Chloe Davidson. Nothing here is cleaned up for comfort.

**About your host**

Chloe Davidson isn't an expert. She's just someone who got sick of surface conversations, and sick of carrying it all without a team.

She's lived through multiple miscarriages, secondary infertility, and years of IVF, all while standing beside her husband through his own cancer diagnosis, largely without anyone asking how she was really doing.

She built this campfire because she believes women deserve a village again: people witnessing the moments they never get to talk about, not the glossy parts, but what they actually lived through and how they picked themselves back up. Sometimes someone finally listening is the whole thing.

Chloe & Kellie

Chloe Davidson and Kellie Johnson are the voices behind Her Kind of Brave — a podcast built on honesty, depth, and the courage to tell the stories that usually stay hidden.

Chloe is a writer, podcaster, and business owner, and the co-owner of Mr Consistent. She is also the curator of the anthology In Her Own Words: IVF, Loss & Miracles. Through her work, Chloe explores womanhood, identity, grief, fertility, ambition, and the emotional load women carry — especially in the spaces between who they were and who they’re becoming.

Kellie is a mum, entrepreneur, and the founder of Kosi, a 360° wearable heat pack created from her lived experience with stage four endometriosis. A passionate advocate for women’s health, Kellie brings strength, warmth, and lived credibility shaped by miscarriage, birth trauma, chronic pain, and rebuilding life alongside illness.

Together, Chloe and Kellie create a space where women feel seen, understood, and less alone. Her Kind of Brave is rooted in real conversations — honouring the hard seasons, celebrating resilience, and reminding women that bravery doesn’t require a polished ending, only the courage to keep showing up.
